Un regard intime sur la nature

An intimate regard for the land

Video and workshop photographs by Joy Warren with Sheer Joy Photography.

In the spring I gave a workshop with my friend Vicky for Francophone speakers in Mission to create art connected with the environment. The project invited participants to explore the library ravine using handmade camera obscuras from my Camera Illumina art project. Participants marvelled at the intimate quality of the land seen through the camera obscuras which resulted in the art work you see on display below at the Mission Leisure Centre. It was a fun challenge for me to communicate about this art project in French.

An intimate regard for the land was a collaborative art project funded by Carrefour 50 and our project won second place in their competition.

Merci: To all the participants for capturing spring so beautifully. Carrefour 50+, Participants de l’Association Francophone de la Vallée du Fraser, City of Mission, Fraser Valley Regional Library and Joy Warren.
